Styles of Armstrong Ceiling that we install;
Residential- These ceiling tiles are 12-inch, direct applied, mineral fibered squares. They are made partly of recycled post-consumer and post-industrial products. They can be applied to your ceiling directly using an adhesive or furring strips. This makes for quite easy installation. These patterns are fire retardant, to provide for home safety.
Glenwood – This is a weave pattern that actually changes in appearance depending on the time of day or light levels in the room.
Circles – This tin pattern contains decorative leaves, which create a sweeping pattern. It looks especially nice when painted.
Fans – Simple, diamond shaped patterns. It has a classy, Chinese style fan design around the diamonds.
Kensington – This is classic looking pattern appears to be from those you’d find in a British manor.
Squares – Four squares overlay each other, each larger than the one before it. This gives a calming, contemporary look to your home ceiling.
TinTile – Circles enclose leaves in this elegant pattern.
Washable White - Rather than a pattern, this is just a plain white tile, ideal for reflecting light to give your room a bright, inviting feel. This style tends to look best in bathrooms.
Raised Panel – A square is embossed into this panel, giving your ceiling a nice depth.
Commercial - Commercial ceiling tiles, some of which are designed for very large rooms, have even more options than the residential Armstrong ceiling tiles. For example, some are optimized for light and sound reduction. Crowded, noisy places can be made less overwhelming by choosing a ceiling that dampens sound, rather than amplifies it. In particular, a place that prides itself on maintaining a person’s privacy would do well to invest in acoustic dampening tiles. Such places include hospitals, doctor’s offices, and conference rooms. Sound reducing ceiling panels work in several ways.
Absorption – they absorb sound
Attenuation – they prevent sound from one room spilling into an adjacent room
Reduction – they prevent the sound from rooms above and below from leaking through.
In addition, Armstrong really pushes recycled tiles to be used in large, commercial buildings. This can help the environment, and help your company’s corporate image by saying you have done your part for the environment. Replacing asbestos can also help the environment.
